Lincoln Bleveans is Founder and President of Hullspeed Energy Advisors, LLC, an energy industry advisory firm.  Along with other activities, Mr. Bleveans has served as head of business development, for a global, independent power-focused, technology-driven private equity firm.  In this capacity he led project development, acquisitions, and related energy technology investment activity, as well as serving on the firm’s executive capital raising team.

Prior to forming Hullspeed, Mr. Bleveans was Chief Development Officer of Tyr Energy, Inc, the independent power subsidiary of ITOCHU Corporation of Japan.  In this capacity, he was responsible for the execution of Tyr’s growth strategy, focused on project development and acquisition activities and encompassing both fossil and renewable generation assets.  Mr. Bleveans’ transactions at Tyr included its investment in a start-up independent power project development company focused on biomass-fueled power projects.

Previously, Mr. Bleveans served as an executive for an independent power producer, where he led power project development, asset management, and related activities in Asia and Central America, serving as Chairman of joint venture independent power project company Boards in China.  He has also served as a Vice President of a domestic utility holding company subsidiary pursuing opportunities in the competitive energy markets. In that capacity, he led the restructuring and divestiture of energy services projects and businesses and the divestiture of an independent power producer. He subsequently served as an officer of that utility holding company, managing corporate governance, financial reporting, restructuring, and regulatory compliance for that holding company and its utility and non-utility subsidiaries. Mr. Bleveans has also worked outside the energy industry, as a securities analyst and head of marketing for a start-up international mutual fund company, as well as serving as member of the Board of Directors of UMI, an insurance company, and its parent UMICO.

Mr. Bleveans received a B.A., magna cum laude, from Kenyon College, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, where he was awarded the Harold D. Shapiro Prize in International Economic Relations.
